Braces in Wichita
Traditional braces, made out of either ceramic or metal brackets attached to your teeth, continue to be one of the most popular orthodontic treatments because of their efficiency.
The brackets are connected by wires and tiny elastics or rubber bands. Through regular adjustments with our doctors, these components work together to apply gentle pressure, which will gradually move the teeth into the desired positions.
Braces in Wichita are a great choice for correcting many different simple and complex oral problems. Traditional braces sometimes work faster at closing gaps and aligning teeth than other options might, and this can reduce overall treatment time. In addition, braces don’t require some of the more complicated technology or expensive equipment that newer treatments can. This makes Wichita braces a cost-effective orthodontic option for patients on a budget.
Invisalign in Wichita
The Wichita Invisalign system uses a series of clear, removable aligners instead of brackets and bands to gradually move your teeth into alignment. Patients and orthodontists both love this option, and it’s currently the top alternative to traditional braces.
Invisalign aligners in Wichita are made of a comfortable plastic material and designed to fit snugly your teeth. You’ll switch out these virtually invisible trays every 1-2 weeks for the next in the series to keep your teeth moving towards their improved placement. You’ll have to wear your aligners 20-22 hours per day throughout treatment in order for them to do their job. If you neglect to wear the aligners as directed can have a negative impact on the results and also add time to the orthodontic process.
Invisalign is most successful when used to correct many of the most common orthodontic issues. For certain complex cases, Invisalign may not be a viable option. A free consultation with Dillehay Orthodontics will be able to help determine your eligibility for Invisalign.
